Rape is a state, not a family issue in Nigeria. This is what the police told me when I visited the Family Support Unit building at Sango Ota Area Police Command in Ogun State, Friday, October 16, this year. Off course, I know this is true.

While traditional heads of school are still key convenors and facilitators of the work of school improvement, they must also invite a new corps of school and community leaders to the forefront in building a collective vision for that work. Leadership isn’t pulling people along anymore: it’s about orchestrating ideas, people, visions, potential, and organizations into a cohesive program of educational improvement.

Writing takes time, we all know that, But what you don’t have a lot of time but you have a lot of writing to do? There is a way that you can write thousands of words every day and I’ll tell you how I do it.

Your career journey is not just about the path you set out for yourself but also for the people who you interact with along the way. The issue is that many people think this is a solo adventure but the most successful people realize that their “tribe” is extremely important for them to advance in their career – and their life! This group does not only have to consist of people who you work with like colleagues and bosses but also other influencers in your life.

This is not the end! Things will definitely get back to normal and even better sooner than you think. No situation stays permanent. It will soon pass away. What we all need now is patience, courage and perseverance to navigate through this trying period. Yes, the current pandemic and the other challenges have brought global chaos with the fear of the social and economic meltdown that will follow, or has already started with the loss of millions of jobs and businesses all over the world. Today, aviation, entertainment, sports, hospitality and other critical industries are totally shut down. Just imagine the jobs, contracts and billions of revenue already lost. I don’t want to talk about the hundreds of thousands that are already dead and their loved ones who are unfortunately and painfully not allowed to accord their departed the desired burial and last respect. Truly, these are not the best of times. Our world will never be the same again, at least in the way we interact and socialize. Too sad! May we never go through this again!
